In May 2018 and May 2019, the Entitlement Unit took part in an EU Citizens’ Fair organised by MEUSAC to mark Europe Day in Freedom Square, Valletta. The events featured a number of EU-related national information offices, agencies and contact points. The Unit also participated in a similar online information session in November 2020.
In March 2021 MEUSAC was officially relaunched as Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta – SEM. Along with other EU-related national contact points, the Health Care Funding Directorate/Entitlement Unit participated in the Network of Networks Meeting (online) which was organised by SEM and Europe Direct Valletta on 30 March 2021. These meetings are meant as a platform for EU-related service providers to discuss ways to collaborate and reach out to citizens.
On 7 May 2021 the Health Care Funding Directorate/Entitlement Unit was represented by Mr Samuel Scicluna, Senior Policy Officer, at a webinar entitled ‘How Can We Assist You?’. The webinar was organised by Europe Direct Gozo on the occasion of Europe Day 2021 (celebrated on 9 May) and featured information concerning EU-related Information offices in Malta, including the Entitlement Unit and the EHIC.
